Best Floating Market in Thailand

The floating market that everyone raves about and wants to get to and take wonderful pictures is called Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which literally translates to ‘travel freely’ and is actually located in Ratchaburi province just outside Bangkok, about 1 hour drive with no traffic. Damnoen Saduak got it’s name because it is actually a manmade canal that stretches 32 km to link Mae Khlong River to the Chinese river ways (between Ratchaburi and Samutsakhon Provinces). There are many long tail boat operators to choose from, some even with bolted on roofs to keep you out from the harsh sun, …

What to see and do at Wat Pho

There are many temples scattered throughout Thailand, and Bangkok for that matter. But one that cannot be missed on your visit to The Land of Smiles is Wat Phra Chetuphon aka Wat Pho. It is located right next to the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, but closes at a later time at 5pm, so what visitors usually do is visit the other two and then walk on over to The Temple of the Reclining Buddha. Entrance to the temple is 200 baht for foreigners and locals like me get in free. Just make sure you are wearing respectable clothing …

A Stroll Through Old Bangkok

OK, this couple was just adorable to shoot we had while exploring the old town. I went to meet them at the trendy Sala Rattanakosin Hotel right across from The Temple of Dawn. Of course we couldn’t just leave without shooting a few shots with Wat Arun in the background. It was a photo begging to happen. Ryan had found me on a directory amongst other Bangkok photographers and luckily I stood out from the crowd! He emailed me just over a month before the actual shooting date and was able to lock something in easily. – The wonders of …

Moments: Francielle

Shot in the King Suite at The Twelve Hotel. I miss my family and my country a lot, my family is the first thing I put in my life, I’m always in touch with them. I’ve been traveling a long time and even before I was already living by myself in Brazil, so for me is not so hard to be far way from home, because I’m used to being far from my parents since I was 16 years old when I moved out of the house to have an independent life, go to university, work and take care of …

Moments: Vanessa

Shot at SilQ Boutique Hotel I start modeling around 3 and a half years ago when my Mom put me in school for Miss Venezuela! . I stayed there around 6 months and after that my current manager found me on Instagram Bangkok is my happy place, I love to come here a lot (it’s my 4th time in Bangkok – 3 times for work and 1 time solely for holidays ). There’s plenty of food, lots of places to go and the amazing people that you meet here with their pure souls. I am hooked! I dont really have …

Norwegian Road Trip

The idea all started in a cramped 50 square meter high-rise condominium, dead center of the Metropolis that is Bangkok. It was decided that we were to leave the hustle and bustle of big city and book a flight to somewhere far, somewhere that would bring joyous tears to our eyes everywhere we looked. The search for beauty and grandiose was on. There were many wonderful destinations to pick from. We bickered and gave each other Powerpoint presentations in our heads about which place would be best, but we eventually ended up with The Land of the Midnight Sun. And …

Bikini Fashion Photography Workshop – Koh Samet

I went on an amazing once-in-a-lifetime bikini fashion photography mentorship on Koh Samet with the legendary Tada Varich of Vogue Thailand (among other publications) fame. As expected, he was very inspirational and gave such practical advice. There were also a few insider gossip and tips on how to succeed in the Thai fashion photography industry and how it differs from the west. I took in all the information he was spouting like a sponge. It was nice to rub shoulders with photographers from different fields and many were there to share their own knowledge too. The hotel we stayed at …

Bangkok Vacation Photography

It’s been a hectic past couple of months here in Bangkok! The influx of tourists during the cooler months have given me a lot of photography work. Especially the kind that I love; Vacation photography! If you’re not in the know, it’s basically when you go on a holiday to another country you contact and hire a local photographer that knows the venue off by heart to photograph you. It’s sometimes called destination photography as well. There are usually certain packages you can choose from depending on how much your budget and time constraints are. Definitely one of the better …

I’ve Made It! (Stolen Image)

I guess I can say that I made it to the big leagues when people start stealing your images and plastering a brand name over the top of it without my written consent or even knowledge of it! I recently stumbled on an image that I took a while ago on an agency website. It looks so familiar, and then it struck me. It was my image! I’m not sure weather it is the actual agency/model that put on the La Senza logo on top to try and mimic an ad or if La Senza actually just stole my image …
